If interested in this role, please send an email with your resume and information to jobs@towndog.com with the job title in the subject line. We look forward to talking to you and learning if you’re a fit for our team!

Interested in working at Town Dog?  We seek passionate, dog-loving individuals to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant on a part-time basis.  Our dog daycare attendants are the heart and soul of Town Dog.  We are a team of 24 strong, dog loving individuals who pride ourselves in working together to provide the very best in animal care. As a dog daycare attendant, we work side by side to create a safe and fun environment for our canine guests. It is not a “dog petting job”; instead it is a very active position that requires us to be on your feet, communicate with our teammates and engage with the dogs. Safety is our #1 priority!

No experience? No worries! Extensive training is provided with opportunities for advancement.  The only requirement is an interest in learning about dog behavior, body language and basic obedience training.  It is a perfect position for anyone looking to build a career in the animal career field such as dog training, grooming, animal control or a veterinary technician. This is also a great part-time position for commuter college students in the local area.

Starting wage is $16 per hour. Town Dog will consider a higher starting wage for candidates who come with experience. All candidates will go through a two week training period to learn the layout of our shifts and how to properly manage and interact with the dogs in our care. Following our training, staff enjoy hourly wage advances after milestones are reached.

We seek:

  • Consistent and timely attendance – if you call in sick frequently or have a habit of not punching in on time, this is NOT the job for you!
  • Excellent communicator. We are a team and communication is key in keeping the operations going.
  • Interest & ability to learn & read dog body language (we provide training too).
  • Proactive, attentive and engaged individuals.
  • Thorough and efficient in cleaning tasks. Cleaning is a big part of what we do!

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must love dogs!
  • Ability to work flexible days & hours including some holidays, weekends
  • Ability to work cohesively with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have great hand eye coordination.
  • Must be able to spend 6 hours on your feet.
  • Must be able to follow our safety protocols.
