Overnight Boarding

Town Dog’s boarding service is an extension of our off-leash daycare. After a busy day of activities, a private meal, and an evening romp around the yard, our canine guests settle down together with comfy beds and blankets. Importantly, the dogs are supervised at all times, day and night. Our caring staff stay with the dogs, most often stretched out on a bed surrounded by their furry friends.

Safety First!

Town Dog offers safe, fun and trustworthy overnight stays for our canine clients.  We are proud to be recognized for our high safety standards.  All of our staff are trained in dog behavior, dog handling, CPR and pet first aid.  We maintain a high staff-to-dog ratio and we actively engage with the dogs all day to ensure that they have the best possible experience.  Importantly, the dogs in our care are supervised at all times, day and night.  All of our canine guests are required to complete a temperament evaluation to make sure that they are a good fit for our group play environment.  We also require that all of our canine guests are current on their vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and bordetella.

Routine

Dogs do best with a routine they know.  Town Dog’s overnight guests share the same routine as our daycare dogs which includes a mix of play, rest and enrichment.  Canine guests arrive by 10 am & are separated into 3 groups based on size, age & temperament.  Playgroups move between our playrooms & outdoor yards where there is lots of space for the dogs to romp with their pals.  Breakfast is scheduled at 6:30 am, Lunch at 12:00 noon, and Dinner at 4:30 pm.  All dogs participate in quiet time at 2:00 pm and enjoy breaks throughout the day to nurture a calm state of mind.  After a late evening potty break, all boarding dogs settle in for the night to sleep on the bed with staff, in a crate, or on a dog bed lined with comfy fleece.

EnRichment

At Town Dog we augment our boarding with enrichment activities that engage the senses.  In a daycare setting, enrichment activities offer personal attention, build confidence and help in reinforcing social manners.  During daycare our Pack Leaders play games such as group sit, place, recall, follow the leader, and wait at the gate.  Town Dog also offers one-on-one enrichment sessions as an add-on to your dog’s boarding stay which include toys, structured games and purposeful play. These training-based activities can be added on to your dog’s boarding reservation.  Not only do these activities reinforce impulse control, structure & boundaries, they also tire your dog both mentally and physically!
